Transcendence, Logic and Identity

What follows is an attempt to work through some ideas which come out of the notion of transcendence. In the course of this enterprise, some speculative conclusions will emerge regarding logic and the problem of identity. There will also be some observations touching on aspects of the history of philosophy. It is surprising where an investigation of transcendence may lead. If the ideas I have set out sketchily below are of some use, they will be worth developing more thoroughly.
